Eleanor Pershing Dana School of Music Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Eleanor Pershing, by her family and daughter Lenore. Eleanor studied piano performance at Westminster College. She then taught piano, but never played professionally. At home she loved to play Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Her husband played percussion in big bands in the area. They enjoyed going to concerts of all kinds during their marriage, including the symphony and opera. This scholarship in memory of Eleanor has been established to help a young aspiring musician on their educational journey in achieving their dream of a career in music. An eligible student for this scholarship must be an undergrad student attending full-time, majoring in Music or Piano Music Performance.
