Dr. Kim J. Rost Memorial Award
The Dr. Kim J. Rost Memorial Award celebrates an outstanding educational professional, who, in more than 30 years of public service, exemplified professionalism of the highest caliber and a tireless commitment to excellence and educational equity for all children in the Mahoning Valley. Kim's pursuit of the Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, in the face of multiple life-threatening health challenges over more than a decade, demonstrated her extraordinary resilience, dedication and persistence, and serves as an inspiration to all. The award is given at the University Honors Convocation each spring. Eligibility: Educational Leadership doctoral student in good standing, demonstrated exceptional persistence or dedication in their degree efforts. Preference will be given to candidates who propose to use the award to help defray the costs of their dissertation research or expenses associated with presenting a scholarly paper and a national conference.
