Dr. Gunapala Edirisooriya Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The Dr. Gunapala Edirisooriya Memorial Scholarship Endowment celebrates an outstanding teacher, scholar, advocate and leader. The award is given at the University Honors Convocation each spring. Eligibility: Educational Administration or Educational Leadership major in good standing, demonstrated exemplary commitment to the education and social development of children who, by circumstance not of their own making, are at risk of not fulfilling their potential or have engaged in dissertation research that holds out unusual promise of promoting social justice by altering school policies or practices that pose a barrier to equal and equitable educational opportunities for students.
