Jim and Gere Weller Endowment
This endowment was established in 2018 by Jim and Gere Weller to support students in their pursuit in degrees at Youngstown State University. Jim and Gere established Liberty Steel Industries in the Mahoning Valley. Liberty Steel Industries, now headquartered in Warren, processes coated, cold rolled and hot rolled steel and provides a variety of state-of-the-art stamping and blanking services. In their desire to better the lives of our youth through education in the Mahoning Valley, Jim and Gere have created this endowment to help students and YSU in perpetuity. An eligible student(s) for this scholarship must be enrolled in the Williamson College of Business Administration, either full or part-time, with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
