Theodore and Lisa Schmidt Scholarship in Nursing
This endowment was established by Theodore and Lisa Schmidt, both alumnus of Youngstown State University. Theodore earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1987, and in 2007 he was the recipient of the Williamson College of Business Outstanding Service Award. Lisa earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1989, a graduate of the second bachelor of nursing class at YSU. Theodore and Lisa have created this endowment in the hope that a deserving YSU student may have the opportunity to obtain a quality education and enjoy success at their alma mater. Eligible students for this scholarship must be attending full-time and be accepted into the Nursing BSN program with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Students must have completed the FAFSA, demonstrating need. Preference will be given to a student that is a resident of Mahoning, Trumbull, or Columbiana county.
