Mahoning Valley LMCC Scholarship


The LMCC is an acronym for the Labor Management Cooperative Committee between the IBEW Local Union 64 and Mahoning Valley NECA that represents the union electrical industry in the Mahoning Valley. This scholarship is to assist a member of the union electrical industry in their journey to earn an associate or bachelor's degree at Youngstown State University. Applicants must be entering their second year of schooling in the fall semester following the application deadline. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, enrolled either full or part-time and a resident of either Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana counties. Applicants must be a member of IBEW Local Union 64 with a minimum journeyman classification (as wireman, residential or teledata), or an employee of a contractor that is signatory with the Mahoning Valley NECA. All applicants must have a minimum of two years experience with a signatory contractor. If no applicants meet previously stated requirements, an applicant who is affiliated with a member of IBEW Local Union 64, or an employee of a contractor that is signatory with the Mahoning Valley NECA, will be eligible to apply. Applicants must be pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in the following programs (in order of preference): Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Civil and Construction Engineering Technology, Business Management, or any other degree that benefits the electrical industry.
