Cirenya Schroeder Rose Memorial Scholarship
The Cirenya Schroeder Rose Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a full-time minority student (minimum 2.00 GPA) who graduated from a Youngstown City Public High School. First preference given to students majoring in the following Sciences: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Geological and Environmental Sciences, Physics and Astronomy. Second preference given to students majoring in the following Education programs: Integrated Science, Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science. Financial need is a consideration (FAFSA must be completed). Preference also given to a student who will reside in a University dormitory freshman year (subsequent years University affiliated housing is acceptable). As a junior or senior, the recipient is expected to seek a faculty mentor in their major or a related field.
