Dr. Lee and Johanna Slivinske Award
The Dr. and Mrs. Slivinske will provide an award to a student studying social work of sophomore standing or higher, including graduate students. Applicants must submit a two page paper/essay on how forms of creative arts (ex: storytelling, art, drama, music, photography, writing, dance and so forth) could be used in social work or produce an original creative arts work related to social work (ex: storytelling, artwork, music, photography, poetry, and so forth) which is symbolic of some of the issues facing social workers and their clients. Applications and creative works will be reviewed by the social work scholarship committee. The award shall be announced at the annual Social Work Day.
