Roger Harold Slater and Dawn Marie Slater (Withers) Memorial Scholarship
The Roger Harold Slater and Dawn Marie Slater (Withers) Memorial Scholarship awarded to a part-time Electrical Engineering student, of junior standing or higher, with full-time employment and a 3.0 GPA or better attending Youngstown State University. If there are no qualified applicants, the award will be granted to a full-time Electrical Engineering student, of junior standing or higher, with full-time employment and a 3.0 GPA or better. Applications will be presented to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at Youngstown State University and recipient will be selected by the Electrical Engineering Department and YSU's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships based on academic achievement and financial need. Students must complete FAFSA and Youngstown State University's institutional aid application to qualify for need-based and merit scholarships. Once the recipient is notified, a thank you letter addressed to Mrs. Shirley Slater must be submitted to Heather Chunn in the YSU Development Office, in order for the scholarship award to be applied to the recipient's account.
