Dr. Joyce E. Brooks Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. Joyce E. Brooks Endowed Scholarship was established in 2024 by her husband and YSU alumni Mr. Loran Brooks to acknowledge her lifelong passion and commitment to support students of all ages. Dr. Brooks received her bachelor’s and master’s degree and completed post-master and doctoral studies at Youngstown State University. In 1993 she was offered and accepted the position of Assistant to the Dean in the Beeghly College of Education at YSU. Dr. Brooks has provided service to numerous education and community associations and has received numerous awards as a YSU alum and educator. This scholarship is for a student(s) enrolled full or part-time pursuing a bachelor’s of science, master of science, or a doctoral degree in education. Must have a minimum 3.2 GPA. Open to incoming freshman and currently enrolled students. A completed FAFSA is required.
