Shirley and Warren Shields Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2023 by Shirley and Warren Shields. Shirley graduated from Youngstown State University with an Associate of Applied Business in 1982 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1989. Shirley attended YSU part time while working full time at Commercial Intertech Corp. and taking advantage of the company’s tuition aid program. She and Warren both worked at Commercial Intertech Corp. for a combined total of 61 years and Shirley retired from Commercial as Vice President and Corporate Secretary. They both graduated from the Youngstown City School System and established this scholarship for an undergraduate student enrolled in the Williamson College of Business Administration, attending YSU full or part-time with a minimum 2.75 GPA. Preference will be given to a Youngstown (OH) City high school graduate.
