Howard Padgitt Jr., BaccMed Summer Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2023 by Kathleen Padgitt, MD, FACP in honor of her father who kept her goal oriented and on task when she questioned her future career path. Dr. Padgitt is a YSU graduate of the NEOUCOM 6-year program and wants to pay it forward and support students going through the enhanced pre-medical curriculum with a goal of entering medical school and becoming a physician. This scholarship is for a student enrolled in the BaccMed program, with a minimum 3.5 GPA, and a completed FAFSA. The student(s) estimated family contribution (EFC) must be $5,000 or higher. This scholarship will be applied toward the student(s) summer semester only and can be considered for renewal for another summer semester only, per the application and selection process.
