Bevan-Dillingham Scholarship

The Bevan-Dillingham scholarship is named in honor of Joan Bevan and Mary Dillingham: executive secretaries for the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies whose service to the department, the university, and our students has been exemplary, and far above and beyond the demanding requirements of the position. Their deep devotion to the department together with their unfailing warmth and kindness have been vital to the success of our students. The scholarship has been and continues to be funded by generous donations from members of the Philosophy Circle, Philosophy and Religious Studies current and emeritus faculty, members of the YSU community, and our alumni. This scholarship is for a student majoring in philosophy or religious studies or the philosophy pre-counseling track. Student(s) must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and a 3.5 GPA in the major. Completed FAFSA is required.
