Constantine G. Economus Memorial Scholarship


This scholarship was established by his wife, Pipitsa Economus, as a lasting tribute to her beloved husband, Constantine G. Economus, who in 1916, immigrated from Greece through Ellis Island to Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Youngstown College School of Law and later received a master’s degree in law from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., with a dissertation titled “Aristotle, Politics and the U.S. Constitution”. Mr. Economus believed that education fostered knowledge and that knowledge was the key to success. An eligible student(s) for this scholarship must be a junior or senior with a pre-law concentration and a minimum 3.25 GPA.
