James and Patricia Hodgson Memorial Scholarship in Engineering
This scholarship was established through an estate gift from Mr. and Mrs. James Hodgson, and is intended to support students pursuing a degree in engineering at YSU. James Hodgson graduated from YSU in 1973 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired at age 55 after working for 32 years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He chose to establish this scholarship because he recognized how difficult it is to earn a college degree, and hopes to be able to improve the life of a young adult working toward their engineering degree. To be eligible for this scholarship, student must be a U.S citizen enrolled in an engineering program at YSU with a minimum of a 2.7 GPA.
