Alice D. Guerra R.D.H., M.S. Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation Dental Hygiene Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors, in honor of Alice D. Guerra, R.D.H., M.S. Alice is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Health Professions at Youngstown State University. Alice served as the Director of the Dental Hygiene Program for ten academic years, was a Professor in the Department of Health Professions, and served as the Associate Dean, Acting Dean, and Interim Dean over a period of thirteen years in the Bitonte College of Health and Human Services. Alice served on the Mahoning Valley Hospital Board and the Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Directors as Secretary for multiple years.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as a full or part time student in the dental hygiene program, have a minimum 3.4 GPA. be a resident of Mahoning or Trumbull County, and be of junior status or higher.
