Robert and Julia Adams Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2021 by Peter and Ann Way in honor of Ann's parents. Robert and Julia Adams raised 5 children in Youngstown. All of their children obtained degrees from universities in Ohio; three of them graduated from Youngstown State University in the 1970s. This scholarship is intended to honor Ann's parents, who instilled in all of their children the motivation to seek higher education. It also is offered in recognition of the solid educational foundation that YSU provided for Ann, James, and Michael. This scholarship is open to undergraduate students only, but applicants can be enrolled part-time or full-time. Student must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Sociology, Anthropology, Teacher Education and Leadership Studies, or Women’s and Gender Studies. A completed FAFSA demonstrating need is required, and student must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
