Fran Lynn Fisher Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2021 by Leonard J. Fisher in honor of his sister and best friend Fran Lynn Fisher, to provide scholarships for employees at Handel’s Ice Cream and enable them to reach their educational goals. Fran and her brother Len spent their early years in Brooklyn, New York. Fran was always a hard worker, spending long hours each day running a newsstand across the street from City Hall, while Len ran the lunch stand. Fran has always been supportive of her brother’s entrepreneurial spirit and was there for him as he worked to expand Handel’s Ice Cream. Fran now owns a Handel’s Ice Cream store of her own in Liberty, Ohio. An eligible student of this scholarship is an employee of any Handel’s Ice Cream location, with a 2.5 GPA and a completed FAFSA.
