Dr. J.J. Koss Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2021 in memory of Dr. J.J. Koss. Dr. Koss served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and worked for U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh before becoming a teacher. Dr. Koss was a faculty member at YSU for 33 years, teaching Economics, Statistics, Labor Relations, and Collective Bargaining. He had a sincere interest in his students, and he also advocated for faculty rights and interests as a member of the YSU Chapter of the Ohio Education Association. To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be pursuing an undergraduate degree, must have achieved at least sophomore status, and be enrolled full time with at least a 3.0 GPA. Only students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Business Economics or Finance will be eligible.
