Seals Family Scholarship


The Seals Family Scholarship is in honor of George and Molly Seals and their passionate support of minorities receiving a college degree. Molly, George, and her family jointly decided that one way they would commit themselves to prolonging the legacy of their passion was to establish a minority scholarship committed to nursing, respiratory therapy, teaching and engineering; recognizing that each of these careers provide a direct path to earning a good and family-sustaining living in meaningful occupations that contribute so much to our society. This scholarship is for a minority student who resides in Mahoning County and is pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in nursing, respiratory care, engineering, or teaching, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference to incoming freshmen students in the prerequisite phase of their major/ program. Preference to students from the Youngstown City School system. Preference to a student with demonstrated financial need. Completed FAFSA is required.
