Joseph P. Dolwick Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Joseph Dolwick to assist YSU students who embrace the tradition of industry and work ethic of Youngstown Ohio, like he does. Joe graduated from Ursuline High School, and then YSU. He worked in various positions for the Internal Revenue Service over his 32 years of service; most recently he served as a Senior Excise Tax Policy Analyst there. During his time at the Internal Revenue Service, Joe was very involved in educating employees and the public on excise tax law. Joe is very proud of his Youngstown heritage, and wants to help YSU students achieve great success in their future careers. An eligible student for this scholarship is enrolled in a program within the WCBA, and is a male graduate of a public or Catholic parochial Mahoning County High School, or Hubbard, Girard, or Liberty high school in Trumbull County. Preference will be given to male graduates from Ursuline, Chaney, or Austintown Fitch (in that order). Student must have at least a 2.5 GPA and a completed FAFSA. Scholarship will initially be awarded to a Freshman.
