Robert and Julia (Holler) Kaliney Memorial Scholarship


This endowment was established by the family of Robert and Julia Kaliney to assist a YSU student needing financial aid who is a veteran or is in the ROTC program. Robert Kaliney served in the Navy during World War II. After returning home from the war, he married Julia, and enrolled at YSU. Robert graduated from YSU in 1950 with a BA in Psychology. Robert followed YSU football throughout his life. An eligible student(s) for this scholarship can be enrolled full or part-time as an undergraduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection preference will be given to a Military Veteran (any branch) first, while second preference will be given to a student in the ROTC program enrolled in the Williamson College of Business Administration or the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. If there are no Veterans or ROTC students enrolled in WCBA or Liberal Arts, then these students enrolled in any of the remaining colleges will be considered.
