Sister Jean Gillespie Memorial Scholarship


Sister Jean Gillespie Memorial Scholarship in Religious Studies was established in 1984 by Marie Weyrick and Mildred Gedeon in memory of their sister, Dominican Sister Jean Gillespie, O.P., who died in 1982 and who was deeply committed to the ecumenical work of the Jewish/Christian Dialogue Group of Youngstown. It provides income from an endowment of $2500 to a distinguished senior in Religious Studies. Recipient 's academic program will best exhibit an interest in comparative religion.
