Elizabeth DeLuca and Rosemary Memo Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2018 by Elizabeth DeLuca and Rosemary Memo. Elizabeth DeLuca is a lifelong resident of Youngstown, Ohio. She worked in the business world and rose to the position of Vice-President at KeyBank. She was the first woman executive in banking in the Mahoning Valley. She served in that position for 30 years. Elizabeth served on many community agencies. As a member of the Easter Seal board, she was elected to the Chairmanship. The governor saw in Elizabeth the qualities he was seeking as a YSU trustee. She served in that position for nine years. She possesses integrity, honesty, and loyalty. She is devoted to YSU and higher education.
Rosemary Memo is a Youngstown State University graduate with a BA in education with a major in English, Speech and Drama. She taught high school in St. Louis, Missouri. She also acted as the speech and debate coach. Upon returning to the Youngstown area she decided to attend graduate school in education/counseling. She then entered the 30 plus program at YSU to obtain her license in community and school counseling. An eligible student(s) for this scholarship can be attending YSU full time or part-time. Open to undergraduates and graduate level students. Student(s) must be majoring in business, education, or counseling. Student(s) must have a minimum 2.7 GPA and a completed FAFSA.
