Stephen and Sandy Gurgovits Scholarship in Economics
This scholarship was established by Stephen and Sandy Gurgovits. Stephen is currently a Chairman of the Board of the F.N.B Corporation and First National Bank of Pennsylvania, previously having served as CEO of both companies. He and his wife Sandy, who graduated from Grove City College, are interested in financially helping a junior or senior majoring in Economics. Stephen explains, "My degree in economics from YSU prepared me well for a successful career in banking. Now it's my opportunity to provide financial help to other students." To be eligible for this scholarship, candidate must be either an undergraduate student majoring in Economics or Business Economics or a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Economics or Financial Economics, attending YSU full-time with a 3.0 GPA. If student is an undergraduate, they must be of junior or senior standing and must have completed the FAFSA. If candidate is a graduate student, they must have participated in the 4+1 program. Preference will be given to students from Pennsylvania.
