David Michael Reves and Donna Lynn Reves Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2019 by Donna Lynn Reves in honor of her late brother, David, who passed away in August of 2019. David graduated from YSU in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He received his master's degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University along with his Professional Engineering Certificate. He was very passionate about engineering and his job. His strong work ethic made it possible for David to experience numerous opportunities in life.
Donna Lynn graduated from YSU in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree from YSU in Remedial Reading in 1979. She was an elementary teacher in the Struthers City School System for 37 years, having taught second grade. Donna's hope is that those who receive this scholarship will have the same great opportunities in their field of study and their future endeavors. An eligible student for this scholarship must be a junior or senior in class standing, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and a completed FAFSA. First preference will be given to a civil engineering major. Second preference will be given to an elementary education major.
