Thomas M. Humphries Scholarship
This endowment was established in 2019 by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Foundation to honor and thank Tom Humphries for his service as President and CEO. Tom joined the Chamber as its leader in 1997 and retired at the end of 2017. He spearheaded significant initiatives at the Chamber over the years-addressing education and workforce needs, aesthetics and development viability and protection of some of the Valley's greatest assets and resources. He has overseen nearly $5 billion of project investment, helped double the size of membership from 1,400 to nearly 3,000 and been instrumental in infrastructure projects such as the 711-connector coming to fruition. This scholarship is for an undergraduate student who is a graduate of a high school in Mahoning or Trumbull county with a minimum 2.75 GPA. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in Williamson College of Business Administration or an Economics major.
