Joseph S. Ohr, M.D., R. Ph. Memorial Scholarship in Forensic Science
This scholarship was established by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office and the Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences Department at YSU, in loving memory of their friend and colleague Dr. Joseph S. Ohr. Dr. Ohr was a well-respected public official in Mahoning County, where he was employed by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office since 2009 as a Forensic Pathologist. Dr. Ohr became a part-time instructor for YSU's Forensic Science Department in 2015 where he shared his extensive medical knowledge with Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences students on the topic of death investigation. An eligible student for this scholarship must be a full-time student majoring in Forensic Science, with a minimum 3.4 GPA, and a completed FAFSA. Financial need will be considered.
