Institutional Aid Application
The 2008-2009 Institutional Aid Application is a listing of miscellaneous scholarships provided through the generosity of the YSU Foundation and other private donors.  Students should complete the IAA every year by the February 15 priority deadline.  In addition to the criteria listed, most of these scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students with an ACT score of 20 or higher or to current YSU students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

For scholarships that require demonstration of financial need, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid  must be completed.  Complete the FAFSA online before the February 15 deadline date to receive consideration for all need-based scholarships.  Students must reapply for financial aid and miscellaneous scholarships each year by February 15.

Youngstown State's Scholarships for Excellence for freshmen, with the exception of the University Scholar Award, are automatically awarded as a result of applying for admission to Youngstown State.

More information and links to other important financial aid resources are available upon completion of the following application.
