Academic Achievement Awards are given to current YSU students who have demonstrated academic
success. To be eligible, you may not be receiving any other Scholarships for Excellence
or be a prior recipient whose eligibility is exhausted. Continuing students must meet the following criteria:
Criteria: At a minimum, you must have 24 degree - applicable credits at YSU with a
3.5 GPA. Additional criteria may apply due to limited funding.
Scholarship awarded to undergraduate students only.
Value: $500 per academic year. If renewed for the
full three years of study, value is $1,500.
Renewal: This scholarship may be renewed each year up to a maximum of
three years (sophomore, junior, senior) if the recipient maintains a
3.5 cumulative GPA and completes a minimum of 12 credit hours per
academic year. Awards are available for part-time students (at least 6
hours per term) on a pro-rated basis.
Application: Students are automatically considered for
the Academic Achievement Award.
